19 Spring Gardens - Practical Completion 24.03.2009

CWC are pleased to announce the practical completion of 19 SpringGardens.

19 SpringGardens is located in the financial district in the city centre of Manchester. The building consists of 33,000sqft of office accommodation and has been completely refurbished to include raised access floors and comfort cooling.

CWC worked closely with Magnus Ltd and APE Project Management Ltd to provide flexible commercial office accommodation designed to achieve the recommendations of the British Council of Offices.

Elliot House 24.03.2009

CWC are pleased to be part of the recent completion of Elliot House in Manchester for Bruntwood.

The listed building contains many original features such as extensive wood panelling, mosaic floors, ornate plaster ceilings and exposed beams.

The challenge for CWC was to integrate 21st Century M&E Services into a 19th Century building whilst retaining the character of the original design.

CWC worked hand in hand with Bruntwood, O'Connell East Architects and with contractor Globe to develop, what the team believe, to be a very successful outcome.

CIBSE Energy Assessor Audit 23.10.2008

CWC successfully undertook the first EPC audit from CIBSE as part of the ongoing Energy Assessor QA/QC review process.

CWC were chosen at random, with procedures scrutinised and EPCs reviewed and validated by the 2 man audit team from CIBSE Headquarters during the 5 hour audit.

The process is mandatory for accredited Energy Assessors and indeed the CIBSE auditors are themselves audited by CLG – the Government dept looking after the EPC implementation. No further audits are planned at present.

EPCs 10.04.2008

Energy Performance Certificates are now required when buildings over 10,000m2  are constructed, sold and rented.  This will  be applied to buildings over 2500m2 from 1st July 2008 and all buildings over 50m2 from October 2008.

As part of CWC's ongoing commitment to improving client service, we are training Energy Assessors (the term for those person approved to produce EPC's).  Currently, we are one of only a handful of companies nationwide who are fully qualified to produce EPCs.

The following link shows those Energy Assessors currently listed by CIBSE in the Manchester Area: http://www.cibsecertification.co.uk/clients/find-a-low-carbon-energy-assessor/manchester?ordering=&searchphrase=all
