CWC were appointed to carry out an environmental standards statement addressing issues such as Energy Efficiency, Water Management, and Bio –Diversity

CWC were appointed by planning consultants, DPP to prepare a sustainability and Renewable Energy Statement for the Grade II listed building to support the planning application.

CWC are currently undertaking a number of commissions for this bespoke residential conversion of farm buildings in Macclesfield. The issues addressed include the procurement of a drinking water bore hole, ground source energy heating and optimizing the thermal fabric of the building to suit the limitations of the power supply to the site.

In order to meet the planning requirement for renewable energy on the retail park, a 15kw wind turbine has been proposed. CWC undertook the preparation of the employers requirements for the scheme and initial implementation appraisal. The initial appraisal addressed issues such as existing infrastructure assessment, tariff review, connection options and electricity generation licences.

The 'Claffey House' was designed in conjunction with AEDAS Architects to acheive a code level 6 residential property for a private individual. The design included features such as Solar Water Heating, Rainwater Harvesting, Thermal Mass, Passive Solar PV Cells and Ground Source Heat Pumps.
