We were kindly invited by Panasonic to attend the launch of their new heat pump chiller unit, the ECOi-W, developed in partnership with Systemair. With the system due to launch in the second half of this year, it is another technology we will be adding to our arsenal when considering solutions for low carbon designs.
The exhibition was very diverse and showcased a wide range of new technologies for both commercial and residential sectors, with almost 400 companies exhibiting. The experts’ selection for the innovation gallery featured cutting edge solutions from industry giants including Daikin and Mitsubishi Electric, and provided plenty of food for thought.
Events like these are the perfect opportunity to review the latest innovative products all in one place, allowing us to maintain our position at the fore front of sustainable building services solutions. It wasn’t all work though – we managed to fit in a tapas tour of historic Madrid to round off a busy day at the show.
For George, one of our mechanical services technicians, experiencing this new technology first hand is a great way to get one step ahead for his dissertation: “One technology was the use of CO2 as a refrigerant, which I will be researching further for my dissertation next year at Liverpool John Moores University”.
