Nuclear company NuGeneration has signed for 16,200 sq ft at the Carlyle Group’s Piccadilly Place in Manchester city centre as an operations base for its Moorside project at Sellafield. CWC worked with G L Hearn in the Cat B fit out for the project, completed last week.
The Government’s Nuclear Decommissioning Authority sold a £220m development option at Sellafield to NuGen in 2014, with plans in place to build a new nuclear power station of up to 3.4GW on the site.
NuGen is a joint venture between Toshiba and GDF Suez. The deal at Piccadilly Place will see the company move its current Moorside operations from London to Manchester and be operational by the end of this month.
